So, DD is not a big drinker (never has been, since she stopped breastfeeding). HEnce not a big wee-er. Now I have another baby to compare her with I realize that she's never weed much, even when a small baby.
We started potty training last Monday. We've had essentially no accidents because SHE IS A CAMEL. She has weed occasionally on the potty - usually once a day, but always because we've timed her sitting on it right. We've had a couple of poos in the potty but otherwise she wees in her nappy at naptime and in her nappy at bedtime. We've had no accidents at all for 5 days. WE are trying to stuff her with drinks and raisins to make her need to go more often, but no dice.
So here's the question: what, if anything, do we do about this? Do we consider her trained? She has had a long spell of pooing in her nappy about an hour after bedtime (it's been going on for about 5 weeks, even before we began) so it's not a consequence of the potty training. Obviously she has control, but she is not able to tell us when she needs to go. Maybe she doesn't need to go and so is not telling?
Is there anything else we should be doing, or should we assume that we are essentially complete for now, encourage sitting on the potty at regular intervals, and rejoice in our relatively nappy -free life?
