DD was dry at night age 3 as she was being potty trained in the day. So we had 6 months of no pull ups at night and just the odd wet bed, probably 1 every 2 weeks. A year ago I was very ill for a few months with a virus and and I couldn't even cope with the odd wet bed here and there so decided to put her back in pull ups for a month or two until I was better. Now can't believe I did that! She soon realised that it was ok to wee at night in her pull ups and has not been dry at night since. It's a year on and I've been lazy and just left her in pullups. I've started recently lifting her for a wee before I go to bed at 10.30pm and she is then dry in the morning and goes off for a wee. I never did that last year as she was dry all night, but it was my mum's suggestion to maybe encourage her to wake in the night herself if she needs a wee. I have been doing this for about 2 months, she never wakes herself for a wee, but does one on the potty by her bed every time I lift her, still asleep.
I think I'm not going to get anywhere unless I just put her to bed without any pull ups. My question is should I carry on lifting her for a wee when I go to bed, I'm not sure if that's the best way or whether just to leave her and she will hopefully learn from wetting the bed.
The thing is I know she can do it as she was dry last year!
Also can anyone recommend any type of bed training mats. I've always used the pampers bed mats under a fitted sheet but even that seems a hassle to change in the night. Does anyone know of anything I can just put over the top of the fitted sheet, something washable maybe.
Thanks
