Hello,

I have twin girls 2 years and 9 months old. One has potty trained in one day 3 months ago, the other couldn't be less interested.
She's been showing signs of being ready for a few months now (she will sit on the potty from time to time, and she is always curious to watch others doing it). If I try to leave her without a nappy she'll go on the floor, and will ask to put the nappy back on. Everyone tells me that watching her sister go on the potty should speed up her own training, but so far this hasn't helped at all. Any advice appreciated! thank you.

children are different just because you have twins doesn't mean they have to do everything together at the same time. Lots of children aren't trained until they are three. Try not to worry.

I have three year old twins, one will do wees in the potty with no accidents and has had no accidents for weeks but will only do poo in her pants. She will hold onto it for days. It has been like this for 2months now and I don't know what to do. The other has only started to show an interest and has taken to peeing very quickly but again will only poo in her pants. Bribery, stickers and praise don't seem to work. Any ideas?

yeah, i think it really goes to show that they will be ready in their own time!
dontteach, have you tried rewards/charts/chocolate??!!
I haven't tried that, but I do know a few people who have had success with a few smarties!

Well the twin who was behind with training started to poo in her pants today and I stuck her on the potty to finish, then called her sister in to see what she had done and give all the praise. Within ten minutes her sister did a poo in her potty as well. So no accidents today. I guess you should never underestimate the competitiveness between sisters!
