She crys everytime we mention using the potty. Also gets upset when we have to change her shoes or trainers because she has wet them. We are a week into potty training and although we have had only one accident a day that is more down to us asking her and putting on the potty then her asking. She has just turned 2.

When she does use the potty she is really chuffed with herself and excited about it.

It has been a stressful time for all of us and I am not sure whether to keep going? We are worried we are making this a really big issue for her and it is counterproductive.

Does anyone have any advice or tips?

She's still very young, I would try again another time if she is finding it stressful.

If you haven't had any significant improvement after a week, and it is upsetting her, then I'd stop and try again in a couple of months.
