Is it a bad idea to put pull-ups on for outings?

My 2 year old DD started getting interested in the toilet, so we bought her a seat with handles and she LOVED it. I wasn't thinking of toilet training her tll the summer when it's warm enough to run around with a bare bum, but she wants to use the loo, and has asked a few times and done most of her wees and poos in the loo. So it looks like we're going with it now!

Since Easter hols I've let her have the nappies off in the morning and afternoon when we're in the house, but I haven't stayed in all day in a 'toilet training boot camp' style at all. I've just popped a nappy on and explained it's because were going out. Then, after a nap it's nappy off again.

So, my question is, I'm a creating any problems doing it this way? Am I just lazy, or lucky?

Has she used the nappy whilst you wer out? How reliable is she at home? If you think she will wee everywhere whilst you are out then stick to the pull up but if she is reasonably reliable then try without. I used to take a cleaning up kit with me just in case - a kitchen roll and carrier bag to put it in!
