my 4 yo DS has started wetting the bed again everynight nearly ive tried everything..

  • no drink after 6pm
  • put on toilet before bed
  • put him on toilet when im going bed
  • i talk to him about it

when he does it hes really disapointed with himself and says 'sorry mummy i wont do it again' i try and not get annoyed about it but im losing patience.

ive tried talking to him asking him if anythings upsetting him etc but he says no and theres nothing going on that im aware off which would cause this.

i dont want to put him in pull ups again and thats what people are telling me to do i want to get my 4 yo dry again at night not encourage it by putting nappy on.

any advise please

Children become dry at night when they are physically ready not psychologically

It is to do with a specific hormone that is released anytime between 1-7yrs which controls urine production

Until that hormone is produced he has no control at all, so it's not his fault if he wets the bed

DD1 is 6.4 and still wets the bed a couple of times a week. They will grow out of it
