Hi My dd was 3 in Feb and has been out of nappies since April last year, she has and is always having accidents, at least 3/4 times a day and always does a bit in her knickers before going to the toilet, sometimes it just comes out and she notices afterwards, she goes quite alot in a day, about every half hour. At playgroup last week she was there 2.5 hours and wet herself 6 times as well as going on the toilet. My question is that when I was pregnant with her she had dilated kidneys and very little fluid around her, so I was induced and she was meant to be put onto antibiotics after birth and then have a scan but none of this ever happened, the midwife said as long as she is weeing o.k it will be fine, yet in my notes it says that she needs antibiotic and follow up scan, I don't know whether this could be why she hasn't been completely dry??? She hasn't suffered with uti's. Thanks

If you have been recommended to have a follow up scan which has never happened, get your gp to refer dd to a consultant urologist for investigation. If she is weeing every half an hour it sounds very often to me and needs investigation, if only to rule out any problems.

Any idea how much water she drinks during the day? It may be that she drinks loads and hence the frequency? My DD had quite a bit to drink when I was PT and she would also go/have accidents every half hour. I then timed it and then found that if I took her 20 mins after that drink, she would wee.

Hope this helps...
