Toilet seat for a big boy.

My Ds is doing well with toilet training, but although he is just three, he is about the size of a 4/5 year old. He likes using his "special seat" for sitting on the toilet but he barely fits on, so he ends up either squashing his willy or the pee just goes all over the floor and his trousers, which he finds quite upsetting.

Can anyone recommend any toilet seats that would suit a bigger boy ? Or suggest any ways to stop the pee on the floor problem.

Does he need a special seat at all? My DS just hangs on to the normal toilet seat. Occasionally he 'drops in', but he just finds that funny - and hauls himself out again.

If you can't find one, perhaps you could get a cover for the normal loo seat so that he feels there is something "special" there to put on the seat for him.

Bertie... we are having the same problem if he just uses the toilet without the special seat. He seems to manage to pee under the seat.. I can't even quite work out how he's doing it !

That's an aim problem then. Make sure he's pointing downwards before he starts. Or, if you're feeling brave, what about having him stand to wee?
