How many overnight dry nappies before taking it off for good?

My daughter is 2.6 and I did the Gina Ford potty training in one week, it worked and I can't believe it!! I did all the preparation she advised and within one week she was dry, which I'm made up with!

I know its early days and she could go backwards, but I've been putting a nappy on everynight and for the last ten days its been dry every morning, she asks for the potty within ten minutes of waking, so is it too soon to let her go overnight without one on?? Or should I leave it a bit longer?

Also which are the best mats to put under her sheet in case of accidents, without paying the earth?

Thanks

When my DD was dry through the night, I started to put her to bed with no nappy, and for 1 week woke her when I went to bed to use the toilet. She was fine after a week and could go through without me waking her.

I did buy the Pampers Mats, but didn't need to use them very often - in fact, I still have half a pack left over which I'll be using for DS soon!

We put a nappy on at night for about 3-4 nights and DS was dry every morning and I thought it was a waste, so we put Pampers disposable bed mats under the sheet.
He hasn't wet the bed once.

Go for it! Leave it too long and she might work out that it's easier to wee in her nappy than get up for the potty ...

If it doesn't work out, a wet bed is not the end of the world.
