Mothercare potty chair? Quick advice needed please

We have a Mothercare Thomas standard potty. My ds has finally learnt to sit on it but seems so uncomfortable! He shift himself to the side so half his bum sticks out .... not very helpful when pooing as u might imagine. Wonder if anyone has experience with the mathercare chair? Or any comfy potty with wider base perhaps? Thanks

yes def. ds wouldn't sit for long on a normal potty so we bought him this and he loves it.

highly recommended

Yes, we have the high backed one and a normal one. High backed one stays in the bathroom - DD finds it comfortable and can sit there for quite a while, and the normal one is kept in the lounge for emergencies.

High backed one is easier for them to sit down on as well as their bums are directed to the seat if you know what I mean, whereas DD can spend quite a while positioning herself on the little one.

yy and esp with boys can be hard to position bum and winkie on the small ones!

tip: on the small ones, get them to sit on it backwards.

Thanks ladies for your recommendations. Off to Mothercare to buy a potty chair! Hopefully he'll love it too.
Thanks again, nothing is better than a personal experience

Just an update if anyones interested.....we got the potty chair and my ds sat on it for 20 min and done his second potty-poo ever on there. Much more comfy and easy to use for him. I'm happy.

glad you are happy zuzkah - my ds (now 10) had one of those and it was perfect, used it for dd too.

nice that they are still around. so much easier to clean and empty.

good luck potty training!

zuzkah glad you found that potty chair thing. We have one and it was an absolute godsend!!!
One word from the wise.... don't forget to put the yellow bit back in when you rinse it out otherwise your kids will sit on it and pee onto the floor.. well both mine did anyway

humpty I should keep it in mind!
