Do your night trained DCs were pants at night?

DD has just asked to stop wearing pull ups at night and I am willing to give it a go as we've had a couple of weeks of dry nights.

DH now thinks she should wear pants under PJs for hygiene reasons. I can see this as she only usually has clean PJs every 3-4 nights (unless accident). However, I reckon a bit of air circulation over night is a good thing - otherwise she is in pants 24 hours a day.

So who is "right"?

[Can't believe life has reached a point where I consider this an 'interesting' point of debate and am I now posting it in the world wide web!]

Duh - WEAR!

I seriously need to get a job again (or some sleep at least)

I don't wear pants at night and neither do DS or DD. I think it is good to have air circulating .

Don't know what is right or wrong, but my ds (fairly recently night trained) wears pants under his PJs.

Partly because he often poos early in the morning, unaccompanied, and isn't brilliant at wiping.
Partly because I worry a little that he won't get to the bathroom in time and there'll be a pooing incident (which would be easier to deal with if contained in the pants).

Thanks Noah - I don't either, so guess I just do same for her.

DH can decide for DS!

My little dd (2) wears pants as she also wears a vest under her pyjamas, she hates being covered and can get cold even cuddled next to me in her little wool sleep bag.My older DD (5) doesn't usually
wear anything apart from her pyjamas but this week she has asked for pants too as she felt her pyjama bottoms were more comfy with pants on.

My DS wears pants at night and has done ever since he was night-trained (aged 3). My husband, however, is firmly not in favour of pant wearing at night, but DS now won't consider hanging free.

I'm sure I had a good reason for the pants at some stage.

My ds likes to wear pants under pj bottoms, then as soon as he is in bed, strips nekked from the waist down

Probably a man thing...

crapdoc · 09/03/2010 22:02

Who IS nekked?

crapdoc · 09/03/2010 22:04

Heck. Read that as your DH strips nekked. Not DS.

my 2 los just wear their pj's or nighty (dd not ds!) without underwear. They have clean nightwear every night though as they eat their breakfast with them on and it can be messy sometimes.
