To have wanted to burst into tears of pride when my ds took himself off and did his very first poo in his potty today?

I truly did not believe this day would ever come. I am so proud of him.And if anybody had told me before I became a parent that things like this would make you so unbelievably happy I would have thought they were crazy.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

i don't think you're bonkers - i think the trauma of potty training is enough to make anyone temporarily lose their senses! i will also be weeping with joy if my son performs in his potty. four weeks in and he's not done a single poo in the potty yet. i won't be crying with pride when it happens, i'll be crying with bloody relief.

Not at all, i lay in bed this morning in total disbelief when i heard DS1 (3.9) take himself to the toilet for a wee. Was sure we were set to break all records for slowest ever boy out of nappies!!
