A bit of hope for those with toddlers who won't/can't poo on the toilet.
DD2 (2.10) has been dry for almost a year, but has always refused to poo in the potty or toilet.
She has had problems with constipation, so I've never pushed the issue, as I didn't want her to stop pooing and cause more problems.
Yesterday, she kept asking for a nappy and trying to poo, but was obviously struggling and in pain. I gave her some lactulose and took her upstairs for a bath. Just as I was putting her in the bath, she said she needed a wee, so I put her on the toilet. Next thing I know, she's doing a poo!
I am so pleased that she has finally done this, all on her own, without being pushed. She was so proud of herself.
Of course, this doesn't mean she'll do the next poo in the toilet, but it's a start.
