my DD (2.8) was PT before my son was born 6 months ago, but regressed and we are only just at a stage to retrain her now. she has had many accidents over the last week, and alot of accidents yesterday. today after picking her up from creche she has had no accidents at all and is telling me when she needs to go and managing to hold on till we get to the potty.

we are going to visit some relatives in portsmouth on saturday, will be taking the train.
dh wants to put her in a pull up, but i want to take her in knickers and the travel potty (so its there we dont need to find loos) and changes of clothes obv!

do you think its too soon (dh opinion) or should we just go for it (my opinion)

thanks guys!

How about taking a pull up in your bag? Try with knickers but if it all gets too much for a long journey you have a fall back.

yes, i was planning on packing one just incase. you think try at least tho?
she uses pull ups like nappies, which is the problem, so its like taking a step back and i dont want to confuse her?

I'd go with the puill ups just because even if she is back on track with potty training a long train journey will be a big change to her routine so accidents are almost inevitable.

I'm with you - I think you should go for it. I think it is really confusing for children to sometimes wear nappies, and sometimes not. Better to keep going now you've started. Good luck.

We did a five hour trip in the car to my mum's soon after dd was potty trained. Put her in knickers and she was a star. One stop at a service station and one impromtu stop in a layby and she was perfectly dry when we got there. So yes, I think you should at least give her a chance to try.

so thats 3-1 to me so far..
