ds is 31/2 and still in nappies, help!

my other dcs were both dry by the age of 2.5,without much input from me. so i have had fairly relaxed approach wirh ds3 but he wont use potty or toilet, can not be bribed with stars and stickers. If i put him in pants, he quite happily poos or wees in them. what shall i do? i have visions of having to keep him home next year when all his peers go to big school!

When is he due to start school?

If it helps,my friend who has a ds with sn was in despair that he was still having potty issues but with much time and effort he has now just about managed to grasp the concept before school in Jan.

I think if your dc is NT i would just persevere gradually.Is it next Sept they start?If so I wopuld maybe have a potty blitz in the warmer months when it is all a lot easier

(I am probably talking boloocks tho as dd who is nearly 4 has no idea but she does have moderate-severe learning delay and am tearing hair out re potty issue so feel you pain) Good luck
