Will only use potty if naked - and it's getting cold!

Hi,

DS2 is still a little bunny (28 months) but his potty training is going pretty well considering. The only problem is it only works if he is bare bummed. He will run over to the potty, do his stuff (pee and poo) pretty reliably now.

However, if he has any clothing on his bottom half at all, even if it's just a little pair of pants, he just pees. Or poos. Sometimes he yells "potty" before doing it, always too late.

The trouble is the temperature is falling, the collective central heating hasn't come on yet, so it's really getting a bit nippy to let him run around in just a sweatshirt and socks. I noticed this afternoon that he had goose pimples on his bum, poor little mite.

Any advice?

They'd have to be VERY SMALL, he only weighs 11 kilos!

Do you have a pattern for knitted sausage warmers?

Read somewhere that you might be able to notice a pattern in DCs potty habits (a chart was suggested to record times etc??!!). If this was the case you might be able to pre-empt wees/poos and pull his pants down and sit him on. lot of work for you tho
