frustrated with bedwetting

Have read lots of threads on this and I appreciate DD is still young (4). What frustrates me is that she had gone 3 months with very few accidents but now wets more often than she is dry. We have put her back in nappy pants. Do you think this might accentuate the problem as she will not feel any discomfort when she wets. I just hate her waking up in a wet bed for her sake and also I on't feel like washing bed clothes every day.

dd is 4 and still in pull ups at night and i don't see that changing anytime soon.

night wetting isn't something they can control so it's best if you just stop stressing and worrying aand just do whatever you need to to make the situation managable

Is there anything else happening with her at the moment?

My DS went through a period of bed wetting when he started school after months of dry nights. I didn't even make the connection until realising that it didn't happen in holidays.

As you say, she's still really young.

DS born in April -around about the time she ditched the nappy pants and was dry for three months - we hadn't pushed her to do this because we expected she had enough to deal with having another little person in her space.

She started wetting again during the summer holidays which we initially put down to some late nights.

Latest upheaval is starting reception which outwardly doesn't seem to be an issue as she had been at school nursery last year so knows the school and most of her class, but who knows what goes on in their little heads?

It's the fact that she was dry for so long and has gone backwards that is so frustrating.

Sometimes I think that if they are really tired (eg after a busy day in reception) and having a very deep sleep then that is what leads to the bedwetting - they just can't find the energy to get out of bed.

I have noticed that when my DCs stopped having daytime naps this coincided with the return of wet pull ups. This also supports my deep sleep theory .

Stick with pull ups for a while longer.

When she was dry for the few months,she rarely got up in the middle of the night to go to the toilet, her bladder just seemed to be able to last the night.

I know it's frustrating but I think wearing pull ups is much better for your daughter's state of mind than waking up in a wet bed (and for yours!).

My DS2 is 5 and a half and has just stopped wearing pull ups at night, after a few periods when he seemed to be ready but then turned out not to be.

Try and be as relaxed as you can about it, it will all turn out alright in the end.
