Have been trying to potty train ds (2.6yrs). So far, so good.

Bit confused about his way of asking though - mama need poo translates to need wee
mama Bob translates to any of these: need poo OR oh look, it's Bob the Builder.

The second arises from initially using Bob the Builder pull up pants.

Anyhow, had strange idea as clearing up slight accident to his briefs. He had found my Always pads a couple of days before and thought they were nappies for adults. So I thought, why not use daily panty liners on his knicks instead of changing him everytime he misses. And I did, and it seems to be working. Bung two on his briefs and hey presto, not so many outfit changes

mmmm, I'm intrigued as I am currently 4 days in with my 2.10 DS who isn't talking yet so just says 'uhoh'. I suppose the only flaw in your plan would be not letting your DS feel wet? I thought they were supposed to find the sensation unpleasant and then not want to be wet...in practice mine seems to not care! I'm liking the idea of not so much washing though as I also have a newborn.

Not mad at all, quite a few people I know have done this. Works especially well for girls.
