DS will be 4 next week, he has just got a new single bed after being in his cot bed (as i PG and will need it soon) I tought it would be a good time to get him out of nappies and he wanted to. this was a week ago and we havent had a dry night yet.... He often sneeks in my bed and if he is there I will take him to the loo and he will do a massive wee but then still wets in the early hours. he doesnt wake up when he does wee and he feels really bad when he wakes up.
Should I carry on or give up? We are going on a cannal with friends and I keep in getting remarks from family that ds is nearly 4 and is still in nappies at night.... It is doing my head in aagggrrrrhhhh.

Sorry rant over

My Ds is 4 end of August and his nappies are still really heavy with wee in the morning.

Am going to wait till the nappies are dry before attempting no nappy iyswim.

Not sure if that will happen anytime soon

I know some 5yr olds still in nappies at night

Mine's six and a half and nowhere near dry. My DD is four and nowhere near dry. That may or may not help!

Thanks for the replies, ds was getting quite lazy as he was weeing in his nappy while he was awake so that was one of the reasons to throw the nappies out the window.
I think i'll give it another week and see how he feels about it. At least I dont feel like he is 'too old' to be in nappies.

Thanks

I had the same problem with my DS1 and I am embarressed to say we still get on average 1 wet bed every couple of months and he's 8 now.

This normally happens if he drinks cold water from the fridge close to bedtime.

Sorry that's not much help and I know how frustrating it can be but you will get there in the end.
