Potty training

Is your child ready for potty training at nursery? Here's the place for all your toilet training questions.

Poll: Shall I potty train dd2 or not (boring, I know, sorry)

She's nearly 2.8

Insisted on wearing knickers today (we've been indoors, so fine)

When bottom-less uses the potty every time (bit reluctant with poos though, only done this a few times) so obviously recognises she needs to go

Never been out without a nappy

So far has used the potty for 2 wees. She started to poo a bit in her knickers but told me (well, dd1 actually!) who then told her to go to the potty where she finished the job off

It is worth noting that I am psychologically scarred from dd1's training and regression days hence my reluctance

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I'd give it a go

Yes - it sounds like she's definitely ready. Of course there are going to be bad days, but as you know, that's part of the joys of potty training. Just reward yourself with a nice big glass of wine/chocolate when they inevitably come around.

Does anyone want to say "No, don't do it, it'll induce PTSD-like symptoms?"

Well, we went out in the car to visit elderly relatives... 20mins there and 30mins back

Asked for the toilet once to do a wee and once to do a poo (1st time out without wearing a nappy)

So no accidents

I guess this means she is ready and is officially Potty Training
