Five-year-old still having poo accidents, possible constipation or overflow soiling?

My child is 5 and keeps pooing themselves. She always struggled with pooing on the potty from the beginning, but she can go for weeks doing poos on the toilet, absolutely fine and then other times has quite a few accidents, then fine again, then back to accidents. Any one been through this? Any tips? I keep thinking it could be that constipation overflow soiling thing, but I took her GP and they didn't mention that. Might go back.

It does sound like overflow. Is she on Movicol? Any chance it could be diet related?
Blowing bubbles is a good tip to ease constipation, whilst she’s sat on the toilet.

Any chance it's dairy allergy?
