My DD (nearly 2) has totally nailed going for a wee on the potty but the problem is that she always poos during her nap. She sometimes poos at night too. She rarely poos when awake and gives you no sign in her sleep that she’s pooing- she wakes up and it’s there!!

My question is: what should I do about removing her nappy?

Would you leave her nappy free and then put one on just for naps and bedtime?

Help me wise mums of Mumsnet.

Day potty training and night potty training should be treated as separate things. The only thing you can do about the night is nappies until he wakes with them clean and dry (unless you start waking him for the potty in the night). I would focus on trying to get him to poo before sleep.
