Potty training 14 month old?

My lo has recently started pointing at his nappy when he's had a wee or poo, so he's obviously becoming aware of it. His sister was day dry by 18 months, so I'm not sure it's too out there to introduce him to a potty already? Has anyone else tried this early?

My second child sits on the potty when he needs a poo and does it in his nappy. He's 13 months. We've started sitting him on it in the morning when we come downstairs which is when he usually poos but haven't tried any nappy off time. He's about to start walking I think so I want to wait until he's confident doing that first, maybe in 1-2 months? Then we're going to give potty training a proper go! For now just with nappy on.

I introduced the potty at around 1 year old and consistently around 18 months (4-5 times per day), he was potty trained in two days around 20 months. I would have done it earlier if summer had came faster 😅

Sounds like he's ready @sharkstale if he's aware enough to be pointing at the nappy you might as well jump at the opportunity! My daughter is a similar age and we're aiming for trained by 18 months if possible
