Potty training - carry on?

My daughter is 22 months and started kicking off and not wanting to wear a nappy. We bought a potty a while ago and just had it in the bathroom for her to get familiar with it - she has done maybe three wees on it very sporadically over the last month or so just off her own back.

we decided this weekend to give it a proper go.

have explained no more nappies, poo and wee goes in the potty etc etc and she has been excited for big girl knickers and seems to very much understand what she needs to do.

this morning she had two wee accidents and then two very small dribbles of wee on the potty - when these happened I think she was very consciously trying to go on the potty and we cheered her etc after.

then after her nap at around 1 we put her on the potty and she did a big wee and was very pleased with herself!

since then she has sat on the potty a few times and looked like she was wanting to go but nothing has come out. So she just literally hasn’t weed or pooped since 1pm (but has had usual amount of water etc!)

just very new to this - does this sound normal and worth carrying on? I’ve heard kids get it so quickly when they are ready so just doubting myself now!!

Yes normal. It takes 6 months on average to potty train according to ERIC.
