My DS has been potty trained since 3 but really did struggle for the first 6 months with poos. Was about to take him to the GP when he suddenly cracked it back in December. Now, two weeks before school starts he is suddenly having a regression. It seems he does a poo around once every 3 days which has been fine, no issues. But two weeks ago seemed a bit constipated- saying he needed a poo and nothing happening and then at nursery it allll came out! Since then in notice before he needs a poo he’s done a wee accident - almost like it’s pressing on his bladder and then when he does a poo it’s massive!

no changes to diet or anything. Going to ask for a gp appointment today but heard they won’t do movicol until 5? Any similar experiences? Really worried about him starting school!

A long time ago now, but I had to ensure DD drank a lot of water to make sure she had regular bowel movements.

That is a good point - he takes a water bottle to nursery so I think he is drinking enough but is interesting it’s over summer when it’s hotter
