My little girl is 26 months old and I’m unsure if she is ready to start potting training.
For the past week or so she has been asked for her bum to be changed as soon as she has done a wee/poo, sort of panicking when she is doing a wee/poo and sometimes pulling her nappy down and saying she needs potty. She is also going 2+ hours with a dry nappy.
we’ve had a potty in the house for about 3 months to get her used to it. She’ll happily sit on the potty but only for about 10/20 seconds and has never done a wee or poo in there. If she tells us she needs a wee and we manage to get to the potty in time, she can seem a little stressed out by it and would rather have her nappy or pants back on. So I’m unsure if she’s ready? If so, is there anything to encourage her to actually wee on the potty? I have sticker rewards ready for when she is successful, but I don’t want to praise her too much for simply sitting on the potty as at the minute she seems to think by just sitting on the potty that she has been successful.
TIA!
