Potty trained toddler help

My daughter is perfect with going to potty if she has nothing on bottom half. Introduce knickers & she will wet herself. It’s driving me nuts! How on earth do you tackle this? I’m going insane as she’s been spot on on taking herself to potty for poos and wees for 3 weeks. Put knickers on & it all goes out the window :( Any advice?

Does she attempt to get to the toilet or does she not notice that she needs until there's an accident?
You cold let her get uncomfortable when she has an accident in her clothes. Obviously don't leave her in them but take your time and involve her in the clean up so she has to go and get her clean clothes maybe. Try to let her see the downside to going in her clothes. Ot might help her pre empty better.

How old is she? Does she dress herself? How easily can she actually get her things on and off? Try practicing if that's the problem.

@Whyxshe doesn’t even attempt to go to potty when knickers are on. She’s acting like it’s a nappy. I’ll try letting her get uncomfortable although I’ve left her for 10 minutes before and she wasn’t bothered in the slightest. She can take her knickers on & off. So I’m not sure x

Try baggy joggers or shorts with no knickers to start off with. If she cracks that then introduce knickers but get them one size up so they’re not too tight.

We did a few days of just loose shorts no pants - worked well as she wasn’t getting the nappy feeling and she could easily pull them down herself

Pants may feel like a nappy. Can you use loose shorts/joggers/ and a skirt on the house. She’ll get there.

We had this with my son...i would adbuse keeping her commando for ages until she's very secure in knowing when she needs to go. We followed the oh cr*p! Potty training book and it talks about this exact thing.

My daughter has recently potty trained my grandson (2).She started off not putting underpants on under his clothing after about 4-6 weeks he was able to pull trouser(joggers) down then she introduced underpants.This worked very well and he is now out of nappies during the day.

I used pants as a reward for my Dd, tell mummy when u need a wee or a poo and we'll get you some big girl knickies, she loved shopping for pretty big girl pants
