My LO is struggling quite a bit with potty training. We tried her around a year ago and she was no where near ready, so we decided to start after Xmas 2024 but shes almost 3 1/2 and we still aren’t really understanding. She knows when we go to the toilet and what it means, but continues to hold number 1’s and 2’s. We’ve tried no nappy and she seems to get quite distressed so then we have to put a nappy on her and she goes straight away. We’ve tried stickers but she’s not interested, we’ve tried blowing bubbles as I read online that it’s meant to help them relax but got bored of them. It’s really stressing me out. Any advice or tips would be massively appreciated. 😊

You need to throw the nappies away.

Put them out for the nappy fairy and leave a some big girl knickers (and a reward of some kind) in their place.

That's it. No more nappies (use pull-ups at night, but be clear they can only be used at nighttime). You just have to make the effort.

Get cheap nappies that feel wet and unpleasant once they have used them

Buy some cloth potty training pants so she gets the feel of being wet and doesn't like it?
