When to restart potty training?

Dd is 26 nearly 27 months. Started potty training using oh crap method a few weeks ago as she was showing signs. It didn’t go very well so we have just decided to stop as we don’t think she’s quite ready. As she never really progressed in over 2 weeks. So she’s back in nappies.
My question is I’m due another baby in Nov. Would you try again fairly quickly like July time in the hope that is works? Or would you give it longer so like Sept/oct but also then giving yourself a harder time while heavily pregnant? I can’t wait until after baby is born as she is going to preschool and needs to be potty trained by Jan and I feel that neither of us need that pressure.

Summer is easy if you have a garden as you can play out there with the potty to hand and you don’t need to worry about messy accidents on the sofa! And quicker to get the washing dry. It also gives you more chance to get it before preschool start in Jan. So I’d at least give it a go in July. And I’d probably abandon Oh Crap. It’s just one method, not the holy grail of potty training and it didn’t work for her last time so why not try something else if starting afresh. What I found worked best for mine was underwear so an accident felt uncomfortable and they had the inconvenience of changing, regular potty tries and a small sweet like a smartie for every success - but you know your DD best!

Ok it was a boy, but ours loved peeing behind a bush in the summer, would run over and do it as part of a big game, by the end of summer he had great bladder control and we just needed to introduce the loo. Mind you the bush didn't flourish the next summer and had to be removed, may be coincidence, who knows!

Watching as we are in the exact same situation except DD is slightly older. We first tried at 33 months and it was a total disaster. That was a month ago. Not sure when to try again and I also have limited annual leave left so feel under pressure to pick the right time. I can take a week off but I only have enough leave to do this once. Occasionally she has wanted to try again with pants but each time we try end up with every wee starting in the pants and sometimes finished on the potty.

I’d leave it 2 weeks then try again. I agree that it’s so much easier in the summer months for lots of reasons like access to the outdoors and wearing fewer clothes.
