Looking for a bit of advice here. 3 year old DS is flat out refusing to sit on the potty or toilet. Tried it 6 months ago as well and didn’t work. He is incredibly stubborn (as toddlers are), I just don’t know how to approach this as it’s my first time. He is dry at night and definitely knows when he needs to go. Should we just stay at home for few days and just be without the nappies? Today he kicked the potty and shouted at me to take it away. Would appreciate any advice!

What would happen if you just took away the nappies? And ditch the potty maybe and go straight to using the toilet.

OP has said he won't sit on the toilet.

I have this exact problem- eldest DS no problem and was easy and youngest is not having any of it. Tired again the other day- not sure what to do but I’m now anxious

You could focus on weeing first, standing up, as he won't sit. Staying with him at home for a week is a good idea, perhaps with a routine of when he gets up, after breakfast, before lunch etc. I'd be tempted to put him in pants to help him understand what wet and soiled underwear feels like.
