We're 24hrs into our second attempt at potty training our 2.5 year old. Yesterday was full of accidents, and the same so far today.

We're taking her to sit on the potty or toilet (her choice) every 45-60mins. She's generally happy to sit there for a couple of stories, though is starting to show signs of frustration and disappointment. She's yet to do any wee (or poo) on the potty/toilet. She's definitely has needed to as she's gone on to have an accident a few minutes later.

Is she just not ready? Should we stop and try again in a few months? The only positive is that she recognises that she's wet herself. Has anyone gone through similar it suddenly clicked?

Why the rush? Wait a few months when she is a bit older and it’s warmer. I potty trained both of mine when they were nearly 3, took 2-4 days and no more than 2 accidents each.

I would leave it a few months and revisit in the summer.

We tried at Christmas when my son was 2 years 9 months and he just had accidents over & over again for 2 days. Thought it was too much so decided to wait.

Started again on Friday now he is just over 3, we had 3 accidents Friday, 1 yesterday and 1 so far today, this time its just clicked with him. We aren’t even prompting him, he is just taking himself off to the bathroom when he needs a wee. The accident today was only because he was on his bouncy castle in the garden and couldnt make it to the bathroom in time.
