💩 situation!
My girl.. took well to potty training. Peeing in the potty no problem, and a couple of poops.
Now wees on the toilet, no accidents and always asks BUT there is no chance she will poop anywhere else but under the stairs around her toys in a NAPPY!
No where else in a nappy or a potty or toilet. Just home. So we came back early from a 3 night camping trip because she absolutely would not go and I didn’t like the idea of her being uncomfortable.
Straight home.. in a nappy, under the stairs and 💩.
Going to Greece for a week in June 😅what to do!?

Just take nappies to Greece. Both my DS1 & DD did the same. I began to despair of them ever doing a poo in the loo but DS1 is now 28 & DD1 23 and it hasn’t been an issue for many years 😂.

Both are autistic however & I have been told it is an early sign. DS2 & DD2 are neurotypical & didn’t do the same.

Really common for kids to find pooing in the potty/loo much harder than weeing. Slightly more unusual to not poo in the nappy unless in a particular place but still within the same zone. I would:
Get the book ‘poo goes to pooland’ and read it with her.
Meanwhile put a potty under the stairs near where she usually goes. Don’t even mention it but just put it nearby. Allow her to continue pooing in the nappy. After a couple of days try to encourage her to sit on the potty - in her nappy, trousers still on etc. Praise. Make sure she sees you flushing that poo down the loo.
After a couple more days, longer if needed, try to get her to poo with the nappy on but no trousers, then try having her in pants but put a nappy in the potty, open so she is still able to poo in it. Depending on how much of a hold out she is you then might need to start cutting the nappy into pieces to wean her off - or she might be ok once the nappy is actually off. Goal of course is poo in potty with no nappy. Only when she is doing this happily would I start to slowly move the potty out from under the stairs and towards the bathroom. You should be fine for June!!

My daughter was the same.. one day she just pooed in the potty (still at home, similar place) but that was the breakthrough we needed. I bet she will solve it herself by June but if not maybe bring some of her toys and find some stairs? 😂

We had this issue, she will hold for days if away or at nursery but would go as soon as a nappy was on for bed or have accidents in her sleep.
I went to the docs and they prescribed movicol so she can’t hold it.
I’ll give it to her if she hasn’t been for a day or 2 now and she will go on the toilet, the same as for wees
she will still mostly only go at home though but I plan accordingly!
