Which nappies to use at night time?

Probably stupid question but can you use traditional nappies at nap and night time or should you move towards pull ups/nappy pants once potty training?

You can use either but usually pull up type ones are easier for the child to pull down themselves so you could have a potty in the bedroom at night and that might encourage them to use the potty or go to the toilet for their first morning wee
