Regression Help

DS is 3.5 and has been potty trained for nearly a year and was very quick to do so with little to no accidents.

However recently we have been having a regression where he is doing part of his wee in his pants before telling us he needs to go. Sometimes this is a tiny dribble but sometimes much more. I feel this is largely due to him being too engrossed in what he’s doing to go to the loo as he finds it boring. It’s almost like he has to do that little bit in his pants to know he needs to go? We’ve had no problems with poo at all. This also isn’t an infection as has been going on for a few months now.

My main way of dealing with it is to put him on the toilet regularly again like before meals and before going out and when we get home (which he doesn’t like). Has anyone else experienced this and have any tips? It doesn’t seem to be an issue at nursery although they may not be noticing if only a small wet patch.

This still happens with us sometimes and she’s 4 now. To be honest we just carry spare clothes everywhere and don’t make a deal of it. I feel confident it will happen less and less as time goes on.
