My 5 year old was fully potty trained last year, he even woke up in the night to use the toilet.
Now though, he’s wetting himself several times a day, bed wetting and also pooping in his pants.
I know they can have regressions, and of course I expected occasional accidents, but this is several times a day, it’s as if he just doesn’t feel the urge to go to the bathroom, unless it’s bedtime and he’s trying to stay up.
I’m at my wits end, I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do.
Honestly I think I’m just looking for someone to say their child went through the same thing so that I don’t feel so alone or feel like I’ve failed somehow.

this is not normal, and regressions in toilet training occurs when they are toddlers not school age and certainly not to this extent.
you need to see your gp, review the ERIC web site and consider if the issue is constipation/impaction or psychological.
i would consider this matter urgent.

@LukaKerryn that's a shame I wish I could answer ATM I have 6yr old GS with diarrhea and he's not potty trained as he's Autistic he screams nappy as soon as u walk him towards the bathroom GoodLuck

At this age you need to go to the GP, at 5 unless there is a big change (Starting school, moving house, new sibling) this type of regression is outside the realm of normal.
