Potty training day 3

We're on day 3 and the scores so far are:

-day 1, 16 wee accidents and 1 poop accident. About 3 successful attempts on the potty. Taking her at regular intervals but she did the classic "wait until I come off the potty" to go to the loo in her clothes

  • day 2, 3 wee accidents and no poop accidents. 3 poops on the potty.
-day 3 so far: no wee accidents and she told me as she was pooping that she needed to go so managed to get her on before any proper mess was made (obviously still changed clothes).

I'm still taking her every half hour and she's still not telling me when she needs to go. I can clearly see progress but how do you prompt them to say they need to go? I explain to her often to tell me but she's not yet (appreciate its early days).

She'll be 3 next month.

Try a reward chart - she'll be getting rewards for using the potty.
In a day or two introduce rewards for telling you she needs to go.

Good progress so far though!
