Night time pants?

Hi, my 4.5 yo DS has been potty trained for 18 months or so, but still wears a pull up at night, which is really wet each morning. He's a deep sleeper, but also I think a bit lazy and stubborn in that he's happy to wee in his pull up in the evening/morning when he's awake and will just point blank refuse to try for a wee before bed etc. He's tried without pull ups few times, but I think just such a deep sleeper he doesn't wake up when he has accidents. He is really upset when the bed is wet in the morning, but he also keeps saying he is 4 now and shouldn't wear nappies. I was thinking of trying some reusable pants instead of the nappies, to promote him feeling the wetness a but more, but most I've read say that they aren't that absorbent? Any good ones out there? Or any more tips how to help him?

My DS used to use these. You can get bamboo pad boosters but he never needed them.
