Potty training club- to start October half term

Hello does anyone want to join me.

I'll start off with a bit of an essay...

My 23 month old boy is probably about ready to potty train and we may try in October half term. I have an older daughter who was potty trained before 2 but they are very different personalities. Also, potty trained her in the summer. My little one can talk well and on warm summer evening he did well naked with the potty in the garden for wees. He uses the potty most evenings for a wee. However, he has never pooped in the potty. He often tell me when he needs to poo and is keen to try.

So a few do you want to join me for some winter potty training? We're thinking of going nappy free in October half term, following the oh crap method. But I'm not sure about the practicaties, or whether I should wait until he's pooed in the potty to avoid too much mess.

And his sister has chosen a doll care set for his birthday present which includes a potty and nappy.

Just go for it. The Oh Crap method worked brilliantly for both of mine (DS at 20 months and DD at 16 months). My boy used to be a morning pooper so we'd not leave until he got that out the way, but my little girl was random so we just went about life as normal. You're paying such close attention to them the first few days (this is essential) that you'll have him on the potty at the first sign of a poo appearing!

Thanks. In the summer out in the garden he pooped while playing and barely noticed. He is more aware now.

Hi, just seeing if there's interest. Life is busy at the moment. With DD it was lockdown so easy to start. The other boy at ds childminder will potty train over the Christmas holidays so we might have more success if we wait until then.

Hi, this will probably be the last comment. Anyone want to potty train together?
