Potty training for 2 months and will only wee and poo in nappy

Our first attempt at potty training our nearly 3 year old was in April when she was 30 months. We used the ‘oh crap’ book but it didn’t go well and she got very upset about pooing and weeing in potty. We had a break, then tried again in a more gentle manner, she just withheld poo and wee until it leaked out and she’d cry and scream ‘I don’t like it’.
Got a specialist in to help in July and since then she has been nappy free but only wees or poos in a nappy in the bathroom. She has developed certain things she has to do as well, like with a poo she has to have nappy and trousers and for a wee has to be standing on a mat, I think it’s all about it leaking out accidentally.
She is withholding at nursery and only going in her sleep nappy at naptime generally and will have lots of little accidents throughout the day.
She is a really smart girl and I’m at a loss as to what to do now, she will sit on the toilet happily if she doesn’t need to go, the second she does she jumps off - even if in a nappy.
Considering a psychologist or just putting her back into nappies full time until she may miraculously decide to go on a toilet.

My opinion only I would forget about it and just leave nappies on , do not mention or talk about it at all.Just carry on normally If I could do things again I would have left my lg in nappies and waited a bit. I am convinced it is part of the problem with chronic witholding still and bowel issues now aged 10. My lb who I left till 31/2 plus he just said one day no I don’t want to wear nappies and off he went and dry at night too .my lg was about 7 for nighttime . I know every child is different too! So my advice is wait .Don’t push it . Xx

My daughter is 3.5 and it took her a while
to go in a toilet. She still prefers going in a potty in privacy given the chance and never poos at nursery- if she doesn’t go in the morning she zooms into the house and goes for a massive poo!
When we started she just always went for wees and poos in a nappy, we eventually went cold
turkey ( which was a bit gross but worked!) into pants and after a few massive leaks she would go on the potty for a wee, took a few pooey pants for her to poo in her potty. A sticker reward chart really helped.
she still has accidents and little leaks if she’s really ingrossed in something. I wish you
luck it’s really hard!
