Stinky toilet

Hey all,

so our toilet is 8 years old haha, we have a 5yr old who uses the toilet and now our daughter 2yrs and it just stinks of urine all the time, I literally clean it every night I even take the seat off and soak in the bath, and scrub the floor but I feel like it’s coming from inside the actual toilet, has anyone experienced this issue ? It’s the bathroom that guests use and I’m so embarrassed now I mean my partner laughs and says it’s cleaner then the dishes in our kitchen because of how much I clean it but the stink is bad !!!!

Is it coming from build up under the rim? I have boys who seemed to manage to get wee everywhere for a while and I had to really scrub under the rim or there was a whiff.

Thank you ! I did it yesterday got my gloves on with a scrubber and dish soap and we actually think it made such a big difference ! I never thought about it since the water came out from there 😂
