DD refusing to go sometimes

Sorry the title isn't great but didn't know how to word it.

DD is 2.5 and is amazing with potty at home and nursery, only had about 3 accidents in the last month and all because she said she needed the toilet and we just couldn't get there in time.

The issue I'm having is when she goes to her dads (1 afternoon and then from 12-5pm the following day) she isn't going as much. She was there for the afternoon the other day and didn't go at all (5 hours). Just to put into context we've been up 3 hours and she's already been 3 times for a wee.

It's not dad who I do handovers with but all I'm told by them is that on the afternoons she says 'I'll just wait and have one with mummy' she does have a nappy at night and rarely goes in it at home but I have been told she often leaks during night there.

My main worry is that she's going to end up with an infection.

Is this normal? Is there any tips I can give to dad to help?
