Potty recommendations

About to start attempt 1 of potty training my 2.5 year old.
Nursery say he's ready and he's about to go up to a room where most of the kids use a potty or the toilet. He tells me when he's done a wee and a poo and we've been reading potty training books together so I think it's worth starting.

I've ordered a billion pairs of pants, more trousers and a sticker chart but still need to get the actual potty(ies).

What potty would you recommend for this age?

I've seen argos sell a fisherprice 3 in 1 potty and a leopard potty that he might like. Nursery said not to get a small potty but I'm not sure what this means.

Definitely get one with a removable insert that pours!!! Much less messy.

you might also consider a small step stool and training seat that fits on the main toilet, which gets them more used to using the ‘big toilet’. This also has the advantage of not needing to be cleaned, as you just flush when done!

Thanks. Both the leopard one and the 3 in 1 potty have an inserts so I'll definitely get that feature.

The 3 in 1 has a toilet seat adapter and a step but it's £30 and I'm baulking at spending that much on something that will get weed and pood on - we already have lots of steps in the bathrooms for accessing the sink so it's more the toilet seat adapter that might be useful.

My son only potty trained 5 months ago and has already shunned both potties and training seats in favour of standing up to wee 🥴
Youre right not to spend a lot.
