Started potty training 15 MONTHS ago. Feels like a lifetime! Initially tried Oh Crap method as it had worked brilliantly with my eldest at that age. Progress was extremely slow with my boys. Preschool reckons there might be some SEN at play, they have wide vocabularies, but very rarely convey their needs e.g. won't tell you if they are hungry, thirsty, tired, or need a wee. So we had got to the stage of that are dry as long as you take them to the loo every couple of hours and although they won't say they need a poo they will run to the loo and do it (but need help wiping). If they need a wee, they can hold it for a bit when told to do so, but only for 5 minutes.

However DTwin1 is now refusing to do any kind of just in case wee. He says he doesn't need one. This is causing accidents most days, when we had two months with only one accident in that time.

Is this something anyone else has seen? Any tips for getting past it? He'll be back at preschool in 2 weeks and he's supposed to be dry.....

Can you try bribery as in it’s ok not to wee, but if you pull your pants down and sit on loo/ potty for a minute we can then go out to whatever or start playing with whatever activity you were about to start?

Tried that a bit - it's before we go somewhat that I'd like him to wee so he's been left behind once I twice but it didn't seem to bother him....
