Mealtime mess

I'm starting the potty training journey with my 3½ year old tomorrow, he generally does a poo during or just after mealtimes, how do I navigate this with potty training?..

Presumably, he'll tell you he needs a poo and get down from the table and do it? Just like all the other times he needs a poo/wee.
