Pee everywhere!

So I am a first time single boy mum. My son is successfully managing going on the toilet however everytime he sits down to pee he is peeing with such force his penis shoots up and pee goes everywhere 🙈 any ideas on how to stop and manage this? I’m so fed up cleaning pee up on a daily basis.

many thanks

Sit him further back and make sure he spreads his legs a bit more so his penis doesn't spring up as high. Depending on how old he is you might be able to tell him to poke it down too? And no stand up wees!

Thank you. Sometimes I don’t even get him on the toilet and the pee is midair! I’m going to try getting him to poke it down and start trying to tell him before we even get on the toilet and see how that goes.

That should start to get better when he is able to realise he needs to give a bit more warning to get to the toilet - I remember saying "hold it!" a lot as we rushed over 😂

Tell him to gently push his penis to point it down and that he needs to listen for the sound of the wee landing in the water. I have two boys and we had wee everywhere until they got the hang of pointing it down!

Now they have discovered the 'fun game' of nature wees and trying to make it go as far as possible 🤦‍♀️ I have had to have stern words that that's not how we wee inside! Oh the joys of small children and toileting!

Haha I have this to look forward too 🙈😂

We have a dog and get a lot of request on walks to wee and poo on the floor too 😂

Sorry just seen this post. I do a lot of babysitting and this is a pretty frequent "problem". It obviously occurs more with boys with bigger ones, but the important thing seems to be for them to hold it down. Tell him to point it towards the water. That way not only can you hear that all the pee is going where it should but also know how much he is getting rid of each time.
This may sound irrelevant but a friend of mine who's a nurse says that it's important to ensure that boys pee regularly. Some tend to deliberately "hold" it and then compete for how much and how far they can pee.
Or is he one of these boys (usually older) who are against touching their penis while it's "in flow"? I've had to deal with this too.
I hope none of this sounds weird. It is a genuine concern I and other babysitters (and sisters) have had to cope with.
