Scared of poos

DD is 2 and 7 months. We're early on in potty training and she's scared of poos. When she does one it comes with a lot of crying (big shaky red faced crying), clinging onto me and crying / talking about being scared of poo afterwards. I've tried being upbeat and positive about poos but not sure it's making a difference. She's also saying she doesn't like/ doesn't want the potty for wees. She's a very stubborn kid as well as a scaredy one (as in she scares easily and is super emotional). I appreciate it's early doors so looking for any tips or advice on addressing this early on?!

Put toilet paper in the bottom to lessen the ‘drop’ of a poo, and try sitting with her and reading a book together, to take her mind off what she’s doing.

Have you got plenty of poo-related story books. It's perfectly normal for a child to be anxious and scared for a bit. We liked "everybody poos" but there are dozen of fun books to help it feel safe and familiar

The book Poo Goes to Pooland (eBook) did it for my DS very quickly.

Thanks all - bit of an update, she's now also refusing wees at home but is doing them fine at nursery. I'm trying to replicate their method of taking her to the toilet every half hour, trying to make it relaxing with books and stickers but she doesn't want to sit on the loo or release even when I can tell she needs to go. She's then getting upset because it hurts. Any ideas?!
