Poo!

Yet another poo one I'm afraid.

DD is almost 3 and has been weeing on the potty since last summer. I would say we're basically there with wees. Hardly any accidents now, and she can generally hold it in until we get home in the car etc.

But we've never been able to get there with poos! She knows when she needs one and will ask for a nappy. She had agree to sit on the potty a couple of times, but the poo didn't appear and she now point blank refuses to do it. She gets upset if we don't give her a nappy.

Nursery did say she pood on the loo there, but I'm not sure about this and I can't imagine it's often. She usually goes just before bedtime so I doubt she needs to go often there.

However, we have now had a couple of poo accidents in her pants. One at nursery this morning. She also did it at home with me when I wasn't quick enough to get a nappy, and she got really upset about it.

Any tips for helping her go on the loo or potty?

Line the potty with a nappy, then move on to putting a pad of loo roll at the bottom. It’s the ‘falling’ they don’t like
