Hello,
Asking for some advice please for my nearly-3-YO daughter and what to do as next steps.
So far we have:
- got her going independently to potty or big toilet herself for pee
- a lot of accidents over weekend with poo one day but considerable improvement with that either catching it ourselves and showing her where to go or one time she even went herself jndepently
- out of the house she sometimes asks me for a pee and signals, other times we have accidents but I do remind her frequently
- now she's in underwear all the time except sleep
I'm not sure how to keep up progress at nursery.
We take her to forest school Tuesday and Thursday so our longest stretch for focussed training is 4 days Friday - monday.
Today we took her to nursery in pants with many changes as one person there advised and they said they would take her regularly.
When I picked her up today she was in a pull up and the person said "she had too many accidents so that's what we will have to do for nursery".
I'm concerned this is a back step and she will get confused.
What do other nurseries do about this transition?
Any suggestions how I can approach this with the nursery ajd what to suggest? I was going by their advice but now I'm wondering if I need to be proactive and ask them to adhere to a plan similar to our home routine (have to create something that works in their environment though!)
Finally, anyone else with kids in forest school who can give advice? They do have a potty tent but go out on more adventure walks so I guess it's different to indoor nurseries in that respect?
Thanks for your help.
