How do you know when you’re “done” with training?

We’ve been doing potty training at home for a few weeks now and our boy is okay with peeing in the toilet. Haven’t yet mastered poos yet but I’m sure we will eventually get there. Nursery keeps telling us to let them know when we think he’s done with training so they do the same at nursery. How does that work? Do we just send him in without any nappies plus lots of spare clothes? Nursery didn’t seem very motivated so gave an ambiguous response on how to prep for this! Plus I’ve heard from other parents in the past that they put their previously potty trained kids in nappies at nursery to prevent any accident clean up…

Mines at preschool but I explained what we were doing at home during potty training and they did similar at preschool. Which basically meant they took her to the loo at set points during the day as they had quite a few potty training at the same time
There were fewer accidents at preschool than home!

That’s a good idea. Our nursery does nappy changes at set times in the day so we can suggest we do that with toilet visits instead! How long did this take before you saw a decrease in “accidents” reported?
