3.5 year old holding wee in

Ahh help.
My 3.5 year old is so intelligent and understands the potty and has done a few random wees on there in the past. We tried to potty train before Xmas and she held her wee in for 3 days. Even at nursery when they were putting her on the potty all day. She literally held it in until we put a nappy on her as I was so worried about her getting a water infection. We keep waiting a few weeks and trying again but the same thing happens. This morning her nappy was dry so for the last 3 hours we've been sitting on the potty, watching potty songs, singing, blowing bubbles, bowls of water to dip hands and feet in. She is just holding it in. I don't want her to go to
Pre school and be the only kid not potty trained and she is so ready if she can hold it for so long but she seems to have a fear or it now. What can I do? Any suggestions?

Will she wee on the toilet instead of the potty? Some DC just really don't like using a potty.

How long have you got until she starts preschool?

I'm in a similar boat, have you had any success?

My niece is exactly the same!
Shes 4 soon. Held it for above 24h, just won't wee unless she has a nappy on. And what's more worrying is she's cottoned on to the fact that if she doesn't drink, she won't wee.
We worry she will get dehydrated. SIL took her to doctors they didn't say much, just said to keep putting her on the potty every 2 hours
